This is the story of Diamond, a poor stable boy befriended by the North Wind, a beautiful, ethereal woman with flowing black hair who flies through the night and is able to change into any shape she likes. On the flights of fantasy Diamond takes with this fascinating creature, the boy learns valuable life lessons that help him lead the cabbies of Livery Row to victory over the powerful and predatory Tobias Blunt.
